Support the Orangeville & District Music Festival – Donate Now!

At the Orangeville & District Music Festival (ODMF), we take a unique approach to music festivals. Unlike others that focus on trophies, awards, marks, and competition, our mission is to create a friendly, positive, and non-competitive environment where participants can learn, grow, and stay motivated. We emphasize the educational process and prioritize nurturing each individual’s development, giving participants the opportunity to build their confidence and perform in a supportive, nurturing atmosphere.

In addition, we actively advocate for the importance of music education, which enriches lives and helps cultivate creativity, discipline, and self-expression. Music education not only benefits individuals but also strengthens the cultural fabric of our community, bringing people together through the shared experience of artistic expression.

Your donation helps us continue this important work, providing aspiring musicians with opportunities to thrive, express themselves, and experience the joy of music. Thank you for supporting our mission to foster creativity, build confidence, and encourage a love for music in a welcoming environment.

ODMF's Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

The Orangeville and District Music Festival strives to provide a welcoming environment for all who
engage with us, including performers and their families, adjudicators, audience members, and the
volunteers who help to make the festival happen. We are committed to facilitating a welcoming
space for individuals and groups of diverse ethnic, racial, gender identity, sexual orientation, age,
religious, disability, socioeconomic, and musical backgrounds.

In recognition of the barriers faced by marginalized communities, in regard to traditional music
spaces and practices, the festival is committed to encouraging the performance of a variety of
musical performances and styles. We celebrate creativity and diversity in musical interests and
tastes, and encourage festival performers to showcase their individuality in this respect.

The festival is committed to maintaining a community that recognizes and values the inherent
worth and dignity of every person. We strive to foster and support tolerance, sensitivity,
understanding, and mutual respect, and encourage each individual engaging with the festival to
strive to reach their own potential. We believe that there is strength in diversity which stimulates
creativity, promotes the exchange of ideas, and enriches our lives. As such, we are continually
evaluating how our festival can improve. Although we will not be perfect and will make mistakes, we
feel that action towards equity, diversity, and inclusion is non-negotiable..
